MUSIC IN RHYTHM
Introduction:
An exciting and fun course in ensemble performance using percussion instruments and Boomwhackers – set of coloured musical tubes which are perfect for building sense of rhythm, coordination and teamwork.
Lesson 1 - Introduction to Boomwhackers
Learn about Boomwhackers; dynamics of loud, soft, crescendo and diminuendo; feel the strong beats in music.
Lesson 2 - Booming Away in Rhythm
Learn about rhythm, note values and reading treble clef notes; play simple rhythm patterns.
Lesson 3 - Songs (Easy/Intermediate)
Learn to play from music score and sing together.
Lesson 4 - Canon Songs
Learn about canon; sing and play in a canon.
Lesson 5 - Ostinato
Learn about ostinato; create rhythm variations to the ostinato.
Lesson 6 - Drum Rhythm Styles
Learn about rock and jazz rhythm styles through percussion activities.

Introduction:
An exciting and fun course in exploring and experimenting with everyday items, adding in movement and elements of drama, to create an innovative and dynamic experience.
Lesson 1 - Introduction to STOMP
Learn about instruments used in a STOMP performance; explore sounds in everyday things; learn about contrasts in music; explore rhythm in body percussion
Lesson 2 - Introduction to African drums
Learn about the djembe and gungon; explore sounds and rhythms on drums; explore body percussion to accompany tribal drums
Lesson 3 - In the Kitchen
Explore rhythm in food preparation and cooking processes using common utensils and crockery; play in rhythm ensemble.
Lesson 4 - Spring Cleaning
Explore rhythm in cleaning activities; play in rhythm ensemble.

Introduction:
A musical drama that engages students with song and movement through enacting a captivating story, supported by multimedia experience.
Lesson 1 - Introduction to the Musical

Lesson 2 - Vocal Techniques
Learn about the importance of good posture when performing on stage; controlled diaphragmatic breathing; vocal warm-up exercises.

Module Objectives:
Introduce the different genres in popular music, pop music history and pop music projects for students.
Activities include listening through audio/ visual clips and creative projects.
Lesson 1 - Country Music
Introduce country music, evolution of country music, and introduce famous recording artists and their music.
Lesson 2 - Hip Hop Music
Introduce hip hop music, history of hip hop music, rap artists and hip hop culture. Students will create their own rap music.

Module Objectives:
